The infrastructural work and the traction plants were completed in January and tests are underway using the articulated vehicles currently in service on Line 11 of the TPL.
The installation of the trolley-stop infrastructure has been completed and the furnishings (benches, lighting, information panels) and small-scale construction work is underway.
The phases of installation of the system technology (operating aid system and regulation system of the single route) have begun.
In the meantime, the loan for the purchase of rolling stock – 9 vehicles – was published (in the Official Gazette GURI 22 of 27/01/2018) and the construction phase of the same is in progress, in Holland, the total delivery of which will take place in 18 months.
The inauguration is scheduled for Easter 2019; the start of the year (although still in its final stages) is scheduled for the summer of 2019.
